    2019

    Two people. One sound studio. And the question: why aren't we doing this ourselves?

    ORISONO started in 2019 in a Lucerne sound studio. Alexander came from music - sound engineer at Soundville, album productions, sets. Timothy from directing and cinematography - he knew every angle of a shot. Both wanted the same thing: a vessel to carry forward the stories that moved them. As the new kids on the block. All in.

  2. Mid-lockdown

    2020

    Incorporated in a year that stopped everything.

    ORISONO GmbH was incorporated in 2020, just as the Covid lockdown stopped production. Every job was cancelled, with no relief funds for a company that had only just begun. Soundville's infrastructure gave them access to what they needed. They kept working on projects, ideas and what ORISONO was meant to become.

  3. The first domino

    2021

    Color of Heaven. Together with 89 Productions. The first proof.

    A co-production with 89 Productions from Brunnen brought new energy: bringing together an international team in the Swiss mountains. Clients followed: HBO Max, Netflix - they all asked ORISONO to come on board. Every job opened a new door. Not through a pitch, but through the work.

  4. The network grows

    2023–2024

    Inner Portrait. 249 million people saw what happens when a brand stops making ads.

    Travelling the world with Turkish Airlines and National Geographic, streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. The film ran where no classic commercial ever would. ORISONO had proven that branded entertainment isn't a compromise – it's a genre of its own.

  5. Locarno. SXSW. Max Ophüls.

    2024

    Sew Torn. And Sebastian brings a cinematographer's eye into production.

    Student Academy Award winner Freddy Macdonald brings Hollywood to the Swiss Alps, screening on the Piazza Grande in Locarno and earning 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Sebastian Klinger joins, a cinematographer with an eye for producing. ORISONO is growing.

  6. Zurich

    2026

    A second home: ORISONO Film GmbH opens in Zurich.

    ORISONO operates through two companies: ORISONO GmbH (Lucerne) and ORISONO Film GmbH (Zurich). Same team, same standards, now with a base in both cities.

    Today

    We're only just getting started.

    We've worked across more than 30 countries. A crew pool that mobilises in 48 hours. A Dolby Atmos studio in Lucerne. And the same energy as 2019 on Grimselweg – only with more mistakes behind us and more clarity ahead.

We produce features, series and documentaries for cinema and streaming, work as a full-service production partner for international shoots, and create branded entertainment for global brands – with our own Dolby Atmos studio for sound and music in Lucerne.
